Questions, answered plainly.

Are these reviews independent?
Yes. Review copies are accepted and always disclosed, no developer or publisher sees a draft before publication, and no score on this site has ever been exchanged for anything.
What does the score out of 10 actually mean?
It is our editorial compression of four criteria: control, clarity, challenge design and replay value. The playtime printed next to it says as much as the number. Our scale is capped at 9.5, and the highest mark so far is The Lantern Parade at 9.1.
Which games have you reviewed so far?
Six: The Lantern Parade (9.1), Meadow & Meridian (8.8), The Dead Frequency (8.6), Cinder Circuit (8.2), Tidebreak (7.9) and Low Orbit Lullaby (7.4). All of them are on the reviews page with hours played stated.
Do you review early access games?
Only after a 1.0 release. Our early access guide explains how we judge works in progress without scoring them.
How do you choose what to review?
We play broadly, argue internally, and commit only to games both editors have finished. That filter is why the archive is six games deep rather than six hundred shallow.
Can I suggest a game or report an error?
Please do. Corrections and review suggestions go to [email protected]; business proposals to [email protected]. Factual corrections are logged publicly at the bottom of the affected review.
Do you use cookies or analytics?
No tracking scripts are used. A single localStorage value remembers that you dismissed the notice bar; details are on the cookie policy page.
